A review of the entire line

Here’s the breakdown of my routine, step by step.

The Cure X Soap

This is not your average bar of soap with 50 of the world’s most powerful botanicals, including the top 20 rarest, most expensive plant concentrates on the planet. It smells just like all of the other Herbal Face Food products, which IYKYK (hint: it smells like if nature had its own spa). While it can be used for my face and body, I opted to use it for my face twice a day, which was unlike any experience I had ever had, considering I have never used a bar of soap for my face. 

I’d work it into an herbal lather between my hands, which would then serve as my face wash. After every cleanse, my face tingled to the touch, feeling like it had just gone through an anti-aging car wash in the best way possible.

The Serum I

This serum is the ultimate introduction to the entire Herbal Face Food line. With a more mild formula, The The Serum Ihelps the skin adapt to a higher concentration of plant actives. Over time, you’re meant to work up to The Serum II and III as your skin adjusts to the intensity. All of the serums in the line have anti-viral, anti-aging, antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties that are as gentle as they are powerful.

All of that being said, don’t mistake The Serum I as weak. I applied this twice a day post-The Cure X, and it was like my face became its own skin sizzle reel. My face would flush red, which freaked me out at first, but as it calmed down, I noticed I had more radiance and definitely more tightness.

The Cure X

As one of Herbal Face Food’s most powerful products, The Cure Xis ideal for extreme multi-correction. Think: scars, acne, sun spots, or any targeted area that needs extra attention. Like the Cure X Soap, this serum contains an outrageous amount of botanicals and plant concentrates.

I deal with hyperpigmentation from peels and lasers gone wrong, as well as deep lines at 48 since I have gone au naturael. no filler, no botox.

Using The Cure X twice a day only where needed provided extra antioxidant boost. What I loved was the dermal-warming experience (which the brand states is a thermo-phytochemical reaction) that let me know the product was deeply penetrating my skin. I know experts say, “you shouldn’t have to feel your face burning to know a product is working,” but I had no doubt that my skin barrier was being replenished, protected, and nourished with every intense tingling sensation.

The Eye Cream

So now would be a good time to stop the presses and hold the phone. The Eye Cream is like, maybe one of the most legendary products I’ve ever tried (and I’ve honestly dabbled in so many over-promising, under-effective eye creams).

The Eye Cream is one of Herbal Face Food’s newer additions that they’re calling “The Holy Grail of Eye Cream,” and I don’t think I can disagree! It contains 200 of the planet’s most powerful and anti-aging and regenerative botanicals, which is why the price tag is an eye-opener. Not only does it claim to combat visible signs of aging, damage, and stress, but it also penetrates all seven layers of eye skin, including eye and lash rejuvenation.

After I applied my serum, I would dab the tiniest amount (you only need a little) around my eye, smoothing it in with Herbal Face Food’s soothing and smoothing Eye Roller. Then, I’d let it sink in for a couple of minutes before heading to the grand finale.

The Cream

Another one of Herbal Face Food’s more revolutionary innovations, The Cream is the most potent moisturizer ever tested on a SHMI (Skin Hydration Measurement Instrument), containing 102 botanicals. It is so powerful that it provides 50+ SPF protection, just from antioxidants alone.

Like The Eye Cream, you only needed a pea-sized amount of The Cream in order to moisturize my whole face. Beware: It goes on orange, but doesn’t  stay orange for long because my face would absorb all of that botanical goodness. My skin stayed hydrated all day and night long, and there wasn’t one day that a random person didn’t say, “Wow, you’re glowing. What’s changed?”

My 30-Days on Herbal Face Food

After 30 days, I’m really, really impressed. I loved the process of watching my skin transform. Although I’ve taken really great care of my skin, doing what I thought was “right,” my texture was still rough, dry, and seemingly aging overnight. Throughout my trial, I watched my skin texture smooth and brighten. I saw dark spots diminish.
